REAL lips for the countdown kiss!

appreciation post, Beauty review, Beauty tutorial, Birthday gift, gift, Shopping bag, Shopping spree, Style

It’s new years eve eve and what better blog post to do than a quick review and tutorial on the REAL Technique limmited edition lip kit, ready for your 12pm kiss!

I got this pretty kit for my birthday, the handy case tube is something on its own. It has a little mirror at the end of the case for on the move touch ups, so if your struggling to get to the girls bathroom, as new years is crazy, you’ll have no struggles!

The kit comes with four brushes, to help you line, texturise, colour and exfoliate/plump your lips. The kit was made from the creators, Sam and Nic, who are infact sisters. Well thanks Sam and Nic because your my lip savour. For ages I was using sharp ends to exfoliate and plump my lips but now I have these beauties.

To check out how they worked for me follow my pics below:

My lips before I used the flat smoothing brush.

When using this smoothing brush, its best to use vaseline or anything oily on the lips to help glide the brush. The hairs on the brush are quiet tough and would hurt very much on dry lips.

A Few minutes later…

Then the lip brush to colour in my Ted Baker nude créme lipstick.

Next is the liner to perfect the outline of my lips.

And then to wipe away over lineing and to shadow the cupids bow with highlight.

This is how my lips looked after…

My overall view is beyond positive. I have received the gift of all gifts for my lips. Winter can be harsh so always take care of your pout and make sure to exfoliate the dead and dry skin with lots of Vaseline. The flat smooth brush is my favourite by far as it’s replaced anything pointy in my room to compensate as a tool for massaging my lips. The brushes are smooth and they glide lovely onto the lips! A perfect gift for the perfect kiss.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE AND ALL MY FANTASTIC FOLLOWERS. Thanks for reading this year and keep me posted on your own posts👍

Power in style

I don’t know if it’s because I have been binge watching That 70’s show or my hobby of scrolling through Instagram, subconsciously finding styles from the 70’s, but I became aware of my interest after unknowingly piecing this outfit together and figuring out that, yes, perhaps I have become a little obsessed with the 70’s inspired look. Also, the Fashion blogger, Lucy Williams’s wardrobe definitely plays a part in my copy cat style.
My sweet partner bought me this very cute Power T. I love the yellow print and bold typography. It makes for a plain white T and to which is very colloquial to the 70’s.

My love for the fur coat is real and it has been a long time coming. Where have they been? It’s been a while for its come back and so I guess it’s bye-bye to my last year’s trench coat and hello to my furry friend. Let’s be clear this is fake fur! This coat goes well with high end styles (obviously because its known for being luxurious) and the relaxed look. Heck, chuck on a pair of Adidas originals and call me a pro.

Last but for sure not least, my burgundy patent stretch sock boots. They go with just about everything and I love them hidden underneath a good pair of three quarter length mom jeans. I’m on the hunt for a more flared three quarter length trousers. Preferably black and not mom jeans so if you have any suggestions please feel free to comment.

The accessories I would wear would be cat sunglasses for a cold sunny day. To keep that chic look. Perhaps a nice vintage ring. Keep it simple, the outfit is already a statement.

Shopping the staples

My latest post on summer obsessions was of course my shopping checklist. Fair to say I nailed it, take a look at my yesterday buys.

Let’s start off with the hat. This baby has been hiding all the way in Spain and all the way near to the end of my holiday, but now that I have it my bikinis feel complete… Seriously though guys, it’s been a nightmare. My head is just too bloody small!

These retro/hippie glasses are just everything. I have never been one for rounded glasses due to my slim oval shaped face and mostly because a face map told me to steer away from them, but I like them on! Can’t believe I’ve stayed away all this time. If you have read my summer obssession post, You would know I mentioned cat eye sunglasses instead, But come on…these are so cute!

The silver tree knecklass is forbidden on my neck until anniversary. Thanks Ben but also, thanks Ben (sad face). I can’t wait to wear the necklace everyday, I have been in need of a intricate styled necklace.

The thick gold hoops! Yes that was defiantly on the list. There’s nothing really much else to say about them other than they are perfect against everything!

I have bought many more items especially clothes but they will be coming later for when I head off to Rome! So keep checking in for all the latest trends, tips, and fashion travel diaries.
